Do you have a passion for teaching and are you interested in developing your research skills within a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians?
We are looking for an individual with both research and teaching experience to join the Department of Dental Public Health in the role of Lecturer. You should have a strong background in Sociology and substantial qualitative research experience. The role will also involve teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the subject areas of Sociology and Dental Public Health. We welcome applicants excited to work with a vibrant and diverse cohort of students. We particularly encourage applications from those with experience in applying sociology to a public health topic.
The position is open to individuals with a PhD in the application of sociology to health. You will be committed to creating and delivering an exciting and inclusive student experience. Experience of teaching at both UG and PG level and supervision of research dissertations is essential. You will demonstrate effective interpersonal and time management skills and have the capacity to infuse others with enthusiasm. You will be able to work as part of a team and have good communication and administrative skills. After a period of probation, this will be a permanent post.
