The School of Science and Engineering has a wide range of engineering laboratories and workshops which support teaching in Biomedical, Civil, Mechanical, and Industrial Engineering and Physics.
We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Engineering Technical Manager within our Team. The Engineering Technical Manager is a vital role as part of the School Senior Professional Services Team with responsibility for the provision and delivery of high-quality technical services, laboratory management, and operational support for education, industrial engagement, and research activities within the School.
With responsibility across multiple buildings and supporting multiple academic disciplines they take responsibility for leading the highest standards of technical service to academic staff and students, the role holder will proactively identify ways to improve service to meet day-to-day changing demands in a complex laboratory environment. This post is critical with regards to service delivery across our engineering technical services and will manage operational budgets and resources to meet key strategic objectives for the school.
