Exciting opportunities have arisen to join the successful School of Education and Lifelong Learning at UEA (https://www.uea.ac.uk/about/school-of-education-and-lifelong-learning). The Doctorate in Educational Psychology is embarking on an exciting period of growth, and to support this development, we are expanding the well-established and supportive programme tutor team to include two Assistant Programme Director roles.
We are seeking to appoint Educational Psychologists, with experience of contributing to professional training, to assist in the delivery of the Doctorate in Educational Psychology (EdPsyD). For this role, you will take the lead on a specific programme area (TEP Wellbeing & Fitness to Practise), deliver teaching, liaise with placement providers and regional employers, supervise and support the pastoral care of trainees on the programme.
You will also work closely with the Programme Directors, deputising as appropriate, and supporting the programme in ensuring compliance with HCPC Approval and BPS Accreditation criteria. You will maintain and further develop relationships with external stakeholders and work closely with academic colleagues, local partners and the Postgraduate Research Service.
You must have a professional qualification in educational psychology, recognised by the British Psychological Society Division of Educational and Child Psychology, be Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner (Educational) Psychologist and be able to satisfy all the essential criteria detailed in the person specification detailed in the candidate brochure.
This role is being advertised alongside Educational Psychology Assistant Programme Director (EDI & Service-User Involvement). Applicants are able to apply to one or both posts.
This post is available from 1 August 2024, on a part-time (0.4 FTE) indefinite basis.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List. It is an offence to apply for these roles if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
We strongly encourage applicants from Black, Asian or other minority backgrounds and welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Appointment will be made on merit.
