Reporting to the Compliance Officer the successful candidate will carry out compliance inspections of life safety systems and minor repair works at the Aston University Birmingham City Centre campus and Recreation Centre in Walsall. This includes the periodic inspection, testing of emergency lighting, fire alarms, water temperatures, fire doors, replacing lamps in light fittings, responding to drainage blockages etc.
Applicants must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Accuracy, attention to detail and a high level of organisation are a prerequisite. A strong customer service focus is essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal contacts at various levels.
