Operations and Student Experience Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Music for someone with a passion for professional support looking to use their teamwork and people skills to make an impact in a higher education environment.

We are seeking to recruit an Operations and Student Experience Assistant on an open ended full time contract.

You will join a dynamic Professional Service team, in a busy and varied role. Reporting to the Department Manager and the Student Experience Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our staff and students in person at our reception, on the telephone and in writing.

You will provide excellent customer service, general administrative support across a wide range of operational matters central to the effective running of the department including estates, financial processing, the administration of departmental events and committee servicing, and support for key processes that assist the smooth delivery of admin activities relating to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience of working in a busy office environment, experience of working in and contributing to a diverse team, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and those who can manage a complex workload independently with a high-level of attention to detail.
