Applications are invited for a Guaranteed Hours (GH), open ended contract for teaching assistance in our Landscape Architecture programmes, teaching across Landscape Architecture Design, Landscape Theory, Landscape Ecology and Landscape/Art practice.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking teaching assistance in Landscape Architecture Design, Landscape Theory, Landscape Ecology and Landscape/Art practice to work with a team of teaching staff contributing to learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful candidate will assist with teaching, assessment and feedback across a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses from the start of the coming academic year (September 2024). The courses have specified learning outcomes and sit within the undergraduate MA(Hons) Landscape Architecture, the postgraduate Master in Landscape Architecture (MLA) and European Master in Landscape Architecture (EMiLA) programmes.
These three programmes are Landscape Institute accredited and all foster teaching excellence, with an emphasis on supporting students to grow their own voices as future Landscape Architects able to operate creatively and critically in complex social, cultural and ecological contexts. How to design with landscapes and communities in a climate and biodiversity crisis is one of the key questions underpinning our Landscape Architecture programmes at Edinburgh College of Art.
