Job description:
The Roles
We are looking for ambitious researchers with flexible methodological skills to join our multidisciplinary team in the NIHR Policy Research Unit (PRU) in Behavioural and Social Sciences. We work at the intersection of research and policy, collaborating closely with the Department for Health and Social Care to inform current and future government policy.
We use a range of behavioural science evidence, theory and methods, and often work on time - or politically-sensitive topics. We are looking for people who are strong communicators and have an interest in applying behavioural science to a range of health and social care contexts.
The role will provide an opportunity to network with colleagues across the unit, which is a collaboration between Newcastle University, University College London, University of Warwick, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Bedfordshire University. We have a collaborating network of experts in public health and public and patient involvement and engagement (PPIE).
We provide a great range of benefits and discounts for all colleagues at Newcastle University, including the opportunity for blended working and flexible hours. You can learn more about what is available on our Benefits Website page.
There are two full-time (37 hours per week) fixed term posts available - one post for 12 months and another running until 31 December 2028
Research Assistant: Starting salary - £31,396 to £32,332 per annum Research Associate: Starting salary - £33,966 to £36,024 per annum (with progression to £44,263)
