Senior REF Data Analyst

Open ended- Permanent Contract

Full time (35 hours per week)

We are looking for an exceptional data analyst, with a commitment to quality data analysis and responsible data reporting to deliver Edinburgh’s ambition for the upcoming Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise, building on the success of REF 2021. The successful candidate will contribute to key strategic performance initiatives designed to drive ambition and highlight research excellence from across the University

The opportunity:

The role offers opportunity to be part of a team delivering a successful REF submission, and research performance reporting though responsible data analysis, providing insight to the University’s research strengths. You will lead the University’s REF data analysis for submission, matrix managing and influencing other key stakeholders across the University. Outwith the current REF exercise you will work to provide insight, highlight the best of research performance from The University of Edinburgh.

• Experience of data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills to present findings to stakeholders
• Drive and a record of delivering performance enhancing projects.
• Keen attention to detail
• Understanding of higher education data relating to research
