The Department of Education, Practice and Society (EPS) has specialists from a wide variety of disciplines including history, sociology and philosophy who undertake research to support education throughout the life course by contributing to economic, social and political debate as well as development in societies, nationally and internationally. The department supports many research collaborations with external partners to diversify the contribution that educational research can make academically, professionally and practically for individuals and communities. The work of the department strives to provide solutions to current and emerging pressure points in societies, such as economic change and social injustice, by creating networks and partnerships to support knowledge transfer between education, work and communities.

About The Role
Bridging AGEE ( Accountability for Gender Equality in Education ) is a research project led by UCL in partnership with UNESO’s Section of Education for Inclusion and Gender, and the University of Malawi. It is funded by the IDRC as part of the KIX programme: Knowledge and innovation for strengthened education data systems and data use. The aim of the research project is to address some of the disconnections and lack of communication between different ways of thinking about gender and data in a range of settings.
The Centre for Education and International Development (CEID) is looking to appoint a Project Coordinator. You will be working with the AGEE team on the Bridging AGEE research project based at UCL supporting the co-ordination of the research and learning undertaken through the project, drawing on collaborations in three countries (Malawi, Kenya and Indonesia) as well as internationally. The postholder will be organizing, coordinating and supporting project meetings. You will be working with the Principal Investigator (PI) and UCL-based AGEE team in project management to deliver on the project outcomes across the research teams (based in Kenya, Malawi, Indonesia, France and UK). In addition, you will be supporting the delivery of the communication strategy for the project using academic and social media.
The maximum salary being offered for this post is pine point 27.
This post is on a part-time basis (.40 FTE/ 14.60 hours per week) and is initially funded until 28 February 2027

About You
The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant disciplinary area (education, social science, gender / women’s studies, or related humanities subject). You will have the knowledge and understanding of gender equality and education and experience of working on project management tasks as part of a research team with international connections (working in low and middle-income countries). In addition, you will have organisational and project management skills, including the ability to set and work towards tight deadlines, and be able to work flexibly and with initiative under pressure.
