We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Knowledge Transfer Associate in High-throughput bifunctional targeted degrader synthesis.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work both with one of the fastest growing CRO businesses in Scotland and the world-renowned Dundee Centre for Targeted Protein Degradation, operating at the interface of commercial development and cutting-edge scientific research.
This project will aim to generate new synthetic protocols for the use of high-throughput chemistry for drug discovery. Specifically, we will aim to innovate in the use of cutting-edge synthetic methodologies and apply them to the plate-based synthesis of complex targeted protein degrader molecules.
The role will be funded for a total of 28 months and will be based mainly within BioAscent at their drug discovery research facility in Newhouse, Scotland, with significant time also spent within the labs of the University of Dundee Centre for Targeted Protein Degradation (group of Dr. William Farnaby).
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships meet a core strategic need and identify innovative solutions to help a business grow. This KTP Associate role Is jointly funded by Innovate UK and BioAscent Discovery Limited. The successful candidate will benefit from a personal development budget of £2,000 per year.
