Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly able and tenacious individual to take our Adult Psychological Therapies training portfolio forward to the next stage of development.
This exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly expert and experienced psychological therapist, supervisor and trainer in cognitive behavioural therapy for adult mental health programmes, with a track record of effective leadership, management and strategy.
The GMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre was established in 2000 to run a Postgraduate Diploma programme in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in partnership with the University of Manchester. We have since expanded our portfolio to include more than 20 programmes/pathways in evidence based psychological therapies across a broad range of therapeutic modalities, mostly at postgraduate level. We have been highly successful in attracting funding from NHS England as part of national projects aimed at Improving Access to Psychological Therapies across Adult and Children & Young Peoples’ services, and now employ over 80 staff, most of them also in current clinical practice, and train in excess of 400 students per year.
We are looking for someone to lead across our portfolio of adult programmes (talking therapies for anxiety and depression, serious mental health problems and long term conditions).
