We are seeking to appoint an experienced medical educationalist, with exceptional leadership skills, to act as lead for year 1 and 2 of the Graduate Entry Medicine course. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of a new Primary Medical Qualification award in an already established and successful Medical School. Norwich Medical School has earned itself a reputation for producing high quality graduates who are amongst the best prepared for practice in the UK with a clear student-centred experience. Graduate Entry Medicine is a 4-year programme in Norwich Medical School and is a direct response to the Long-Term Workforce Plan. Following recent expansion of Medical School Places, Graduate Entry Medicine will take its first cohort of students in September 2025.
As Head of Year 1 and 2, you will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of the first 2 years of the course. Working closely with the Graduate Entry Course Director, and the established infrastructure already in place in Norwich Medical School, you will be responsible for all aspects of the programme, including teaching, assessment and student support.
You will be an Associate Professor in Medical Education and have experience in Higher Education. You will have experience of undergraduate Medical Education and hold a post graduate qualification in Higher Education, such as a PGCert in Medical Education.
This full-time post is available from 1 August 2024 on an indefinite basis.
