The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Engineering Management.

Applicants should have expertise in engineering management and up to date understanding of the role engineers play in contributing responsibility and ethically to industry and society. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about delivery of world class education and delivery of an exceptional student experience. The successful candidate will help shape our future undergraduate and postgraduate curriculums across our undergraduate and postgraduate Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering programmes, as well as contribute to development of new interdisciplinary teaching activities across the breadth of the University portfolio within their area of competence.

The post holder will also contribute to wider School and University administration and outreach activities.

The successful candidate must have and your CV/Cover letter clearly demonstrate you have:

  • Honours Degree or Equivalent in Engineering, Business, Economics or closely related subject.
  • Relevant practical industry experience in a role related to the teaching areas outlined above, and experience of delivering teaching or training in a related area.
  • Demonstrable breadth and depth of specialist knowledge to design teaching materials and deliver high quality teaching at undergraduate and or/postgraduate levels across the School UG/PGT provision, aligned with your own area of specialism. Relevant experience would include (but is not limited to) project management, finance and economics, health and safety, risk and security management, legislation, equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and ethical responsibilities.
