The Role

The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including; nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, Talking Therapies, clinical psychology and public health. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Advanced Clinical Practice, Independent prescribing and Global Healthcare Management.

We are currently seeking to recruit a senior academic into the role of Curriculum Lead.  This person will act in the capacity of Programme Director for the Clinical Psychology Doctorate, a course which is underpinned by a contract with NHS England.

Our Successful Candidate

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who will join the School’s senior leadership team to drive the School’s vision and ambitions for the Clinical Psychology curriculum area. With a vision to further enhance the success of the portfolio, applicants should have experience of developing and delivering education programmes within the UK, and line managing academic teams within a relevant portfolio. You will have strategic responsibility for leading curriculum development and for managing the allocation of resource to ensure performance and growth targets are achieved and to support staff in effective delivery of high-quality courses and promote an excellent student experience.

Applications for the Curriculum Lead (Programme Director) for the Clinical Psychology Doctorate must hold HCPC registration.  This role is offered on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE) equivalent to 3 days per week. Please submit a supporting statement with your CV.
