Learning & Development Adviser (Maternity Cover)
Fixed-Term - Maternity Cover for up to 12 months, or the earlier return of the Post Holder, whichever is sooner
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Learning and Development Team within Organisational Development & Change Directorate at Loughborough University as a fixed-term maternity cover post. The team is responsible for delivering high-quality support and interventions that focus on the development of skills, knowledge and behaviours of staff, managers, and leaders to underpin positive cultural change.
Our Learning & Development Advisers are responsible for design, delivery and evaluation a comprehensive programme of development opportunities, events and resources all of which are delivered in a blended way that meets the needs of our staff. Each Learning & Development Adviser is responsible for a range of key themes (e.g. EDI, communication, management) and contributes to the delivery of themes led by others in the team or as part of a collaborative working environment. The roles support the development of effective resources (including online learning packages), organisational learning needs analysis processes to determine our priorities for the year ahead, bespoke facilitation for teams within the University outside of our standard offer, and the co-ordination and operation of the University’s key talent management/career development schemes.
Candidates will ideally have experience of working in a learning and development adviser role and providing advice and guidance on learning and development needs, designing and delivering training events, workshops, online learning packages on a range of topics, and supporting projects to successful outcomes. Candidates should have strong facilitation and communication skills to be able to engage large groups of people, an in-depth understanding of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion that is embedded in their work, and effective digital skills to support our blended learning approach.
Informal enquiries should be directed to Nadine Skinner, Learning & Development Manager, via email N.E.Skinner@lboro.ac.uk.
The closing date for receipt of applications is Monday 24 June 2024.
Interviews will be held on Monday 8 July 2024.
