We are working on innovative electrical machines that will be instrumental in the decarbonisation of transport, and you will be critical to that success. The primary challenges are associated with optimising manufacturing processes, meeting cost targets and applying the latest engineering techniques to electric machines and drives.
An engineer with a pragmatic approach to electrical, mechanical and production engineering challenges in the manufacturing of electrical machines. The ideal candidate will understand in detail how electrical machines work and how they are built, will have experience of materials selection, metal stamping, stator winding and electrical testing and be able to liaise effectively with industrial suppliers and contractors. Relevant experience in automation and numerical control of complex machinery would be an advantage.
