The Department of Computing Science, within the School of Natural and Computing Sciences at the University of Aberdeen, seeks to recruit TWO Lecturers (Teaching and Scholarship) or Senior Lecturers (Teaching and Scholarship) to support teaching. We offer a range of undergraduate and taught postgraduate degree programmes, and successful applicants for this post will be expected to undertake teaching across the Computing Science teaching portfolio.
The University is committed to the development of staff who have an educational focus. A recent revamp of the promotion criteria place an emphasis on clear pathways to Professorships for teaching and scholarship focussed staff. As such the School will fully support the appointed staff in terms of career development through opportunities to develop pedagogical practice, engagement with wider teaching networks and leadership roles within the School and wider University academic community.
For the role of Lecturer salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7, £45,585 - £54,395 per annum. For the role of Senior Lecturer salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 8, £57,696 - £64,914 per annum. Salary is negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
