We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to join the School of Clinical Dentistry, working with Dr Luke Green to uncover the importance of sex specific ‘adhesion’ platforms during Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection.
As part of this Academy of Medical Sciences funded post you study these platforms and how they may be exploited to combat antimicrobial resistance. You will be expected to conduct screening and in depth mechanistic studies of host:pathogen interactions at the plasma membrane interface.
You will have a PhD in a relevant subject area and have will have an interest and enthusiasm for infection biology with good attention to detail and experience of cell biology.
