Salary: From £30,000 per annum negotiable depending on experience

Location: Hybrid - flexibility to work from home or at any of our main hubs (London, Bristol, Manchester & Milton Park-Oxfordshire) 

Are you a supportive, inclusive Business Operations Manager, with a keen eye for detail and an enthusiasm for managing operations in a data team? In this fantastic role you will be responsible for collaborating and leading on process improvement and strategies, as well as managing key relationships to enable your team to drive success.

About the role:

This role will be based within the UK Data Service team which is part of the content and discovery area within Jisc’s digital resources directorate.

The UK Data Service team at Jisc focus on making census aggregate data and international macrodata available to researchers, as well as evidencing and promoting the impact of the whole UK Data Service collaboration and the data it holds. We’re a small team covering a lot of different activities and we’re looking for someone who can manage our day-to-day operations.

In this pivotal role you will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing our business operations strategy and processes. You will be responsible for the collection, collation and analysis of data from the CRM and our services and writing reports for internal use and for our internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing and managing our business operations strategy and processes
  • Collating, analysing and communicating about how our data is accessed and used in written reports internally within Jisc and to partners, stakeholders and our funder
  • Building and managing high-quality relationships at a range of levels with external and internal partners, stakeholders, impact leads and funders
  • Responsible for line management within the team
  • Lead on negotiations to make data accessible to our users

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing relationships with stakeholders at different levels
  • Experience of finance and/or customer relationship management systems
  • Experience in a customer/user-focused role would be desirable
  • Proven experience of line management
