Contract: Part-Time (0.5 FTE)/ Fixed-Term for 12 Months
As a Lecturer in Robotics Engineering, you will have a focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from people who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in robotics engineering and autonomous systems although expertise in other related areas is welcomed. Applicants should hold a postgraduate degree and have completed a doctorate or nearing completion of a doctorate in relevant disciplines.
Lecturers are expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules, supervision, and the enhancement of the student experience across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. These include robotics and autonomous systems, AI and machine learning. Prior experience of supporting student learning, teaching, and assessment in higher education is essential. The Department of mechanical engineering promotes innovation in learning and teaching and, therefore, we are keen to appoint an individual with experience of e-learning and online environments. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable.
