Salary £40,229 to £48,456 per annum inclusive with potential to progress to £52,095 pa inclusive of London allowance.

This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 2 years

We invite applications for a Research Officer to work on LIFELONG - an exciting project on the effects of early life and education interventions on biological ageing. The project is led by Dr Emilie Courtin and funded by the European Research Council (UKRI Pioneer guarantee). The aim of the project is to understand whether social interventions and policies implemented early in the life course can alter the rate of biological ageing.

Who you are. You have a MSc or PhD in a field similar to but not limited to data science, biostatistics or quantitative social sciences and a strong interest in causal inference and open science. You are drawn to interdisciplinary research and want to develop new skills to answer policy-relevant research questions. You have extensive experience in using statistical software such as R and/or Stata to perform complex analyses.

What you will do. The Research Officer will work under the supervision of Dr Courtin. You will participate in the day-to-day research operations of the LSE Health Inequalities Lab with regard to: (1) data acquisition, management and analyses; (2) developing and leading the lab’s open science and research reproducibility strategy; (3) writing scholarly manuscripts and other materials to communicate research findings for scientific and non-scientific audiences; (4) supporting the Lab’s response to funding opportunities; (5) work closely with Dr Courtin to strategically plan scientific endeavours.
