The V&V team is recruiting for a Project Engineer position to be split across the capabilities of Safety Assurance and Simulation. This role will involve the development and application of novel safety-assurance approaches including identifying safety metrics, coverage analysis, pass/ fail criteria, safety case and safety argument. The role will involve the application of scenario-based testing approaches for Connected and Autonomous mobility systems, including scenario generation, defining and analyzing the operational design domain, using scenario definition languages, and in-depth knowledge of ontological concepts in testing. In addition, the role will also be responsible for using, maintaining, and developing simulation interface and platforms for the testing of automated systems. The role is part of a wider team which includes experts in scenario generation, languages and simulation-based testing and this role will involve close cooperation with this wider team.
About You
You will work in collaboration with industry and academic partners. Engineering experience will be required along with your well-developed communication and collaboration skills to assist working independently and as part of a team. The ability to be flexible with your work will be an important part of the role. You will also be responsible for project delivery and providing regular updates to your line manager and WMG’s Verification and Validation leadership team.
