The Centre for Medical Informatics at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Data Analyst.
The Opportunity:
This post offers the opportunity to work on an exciting new initiative using data driven approaches to embed real-time research within the Intensive Care environment.
You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, collaborating with academics, clinicians, information governance teams, patient and public engagement groups, and industry partners. You will help to inform the design of systems and interfaces to feed back information to clinicians. These include existing datasets such as SMR01 and SICSAG, but also novel datasets from the ICU clinical information system and high resolution patient monitoring. Examples of potential work you will undertake include development of models to identify and subsequently predict myocardial infarction in continuous waveform data.
Informal enquiries may be directed to Dr Annemarie Docherty, Wellcome CDA Fellow (annemarie.docherty@ed.ac.uk).
Your skills and attributes for success:

• The ability to extract data and a good understanding of transferring and transforming data, for analysis using different statistical packages.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including team working and a collaborative, collegiate approach, and the ability to establish and maintain personal working relationships with colleagues.
