As a Programme Governance and Assurance Manager you will be responsible for the governance lifecycle of change programmes and/or portfolio of projects in the organisation. Additionally, responsible for supporting programme assurance processes, enabling mechanisms for independent oversight of the programme performance.
As a Programme Governance and Assurance Manager you can expect to be responsible for :
- Responsible for monitoring and implementing processes to ensure an effective running of governance and assurance processes. Responsible for supporting the integration of programme governance and assurance structures and processes with University established governance structures.
- Responsible for the governance lifecycle of change programmes (and/or portfolio of projects) in the organisation, including the setup design, management, monitoring and assurance of governance structures for a programme.
- Responsible for the assurance lifecycle of change programmes (and/or portfolio of projects) in the organisation, including the setup design, management, monitoring and assurance of assurance structures for a programme.
- Responsible for executive administration of the most senior programme boards and programme assurance boards, including devising governance documentation such as terms of reference for boards and committees and programme roles descriptions. Service programme meetings by providing highly accurate and highly confidential minutes, action, decision and risk logs.
- Responsible for implementing, monitoring and advising on streamlined processes to effectively manage programme and project boards and committees, including the effective interrelation between these.
What will you bring to the role :
- A degree or relevant professional qualification/experience
- A recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. PRINCE 2, APM) OR substantial project management experience in a similar role
- An excellent IT skills, particularly in the use of MS Office packages and the M365 environment
- Experience of managing governance for large-scale portfolio of projects and/or programmes
- A strong understanding of governance procedures and mechanisms
