Schools and Outreach Senior Officer

BIMM University

Are you passionate about shaping the future of education? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges? BIMM University is looking for an enthusiastic Schools and Outreach Senior Officer to join our vibrant community.

At BIMM University, we're more than just an educational institution; we're a vibrant community dedicated to nurturing creativity and empowering students to reach their full potential. With campuses across the UK, Ireland, and Germany, we offer a diverse range of courses in modern music, performing arts, and filmmaking. Our commitment to excellence in creative arts education sets us apart, providing students with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to succeed in their chosen fields.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you'll actively engage with prospective students, facilitating their journey into the vibrant world of creative arts education. By forging strong partnerships with feeder schools and organisations, you'll ensure that aspiring creatives have access to the resources and support they need to pursue their dreams.

What You'll Do:

  • Event Coordination: Take charge of planning and executing a diverse array of recruitment activities, including school visits, workshops, and participation in national UCAS events. Your presence at recruitment exhibitions and careers fairs will be key in representing BIMM University effectively.
  • Relationship Building: Collaborate closely with the Schools Liaison Manager and Outreach Manager to establish and nurture positive relationships with feeder schools. By fostering these connections, you'll create pathways for aspiring students to explore the possibilities of creative education.
  • Information and Guidance: Provide accurate and insightful information, advice, and guidance to potential applicants, parents, advisors, and other stakeholders. Your role as a trusted source of information will be essential in guiding students towards fulfilling their aspirations.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Keep a close eye on the impact of our outreach activities and compile comprehensive reports for analysis. By capturing data accurately, you'll enable informed decision-making and continuous improvement in our recruitment efforts.
  • Marketing Support: Support promotion and marketing of your events by capturing relevant content before, during and afterwards. This should be agreed prior to the event and in liaison with the Marketing team.  Your contributions will help amplify our message and reach a wider audience of potential students.
  • Admissions Assistance: During peak application periods, lend your support to the Recruitment and Admissions Team. Your expertise and dedication will be invaluable as we navigate critical stages in the admissions process.
  • Travel: You will be required to travel to schools all over the UK 2-4 days per week, therefore candidates must be willing and able to work flexibly both in terms of time and location.
  • Moving and Handling: You will need to conduct tasks that require physical fitness and mobility, including manual handling.

What You'll Bring:

  • Event Planning Experience: Previous experience in planning and executing events will be highly beneficial in this role.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging with diverse audiences.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is necessary, along with the ability to collect and analyse data effectively.

If you're passionate about empowering aspiring creatives and possess the skills and experience to thrive in this role, we invite you to join our team at BIMM University.
