Project Support Coordinator (Amazon SOS)

This part-time (0.4 FTE) post is available immediately until 31^st July 2027.

Summary of the role

This post will support the management of an exciting collaborative international research project, funded through the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), UK.

You will act as Project Support Coordinator for a largescale, international collaborative project on the future fate of the Amazon rainforest. This exciting and transformative programme will be supporting an interdisciplinary academic team of scientists and international partners to deliver ambitious outcomes on scoping a safe operating space for the forests.

You will manage and or support a variety of aspects of programme and project delivery, including close liaison and relationship management of international collaborative partners.

The successful candidate will have high levels of spoken and written Portuguese.

In addition to the essential language requirements, previous experience of project management/support would be desirable as would a keen interest in forest ecology/or climate change related sectors.

You will be interested in the latest research impacts across the economy and society, and possess excellent communication skills. The post is an opportunity for candidates looking to develop their project management skills.
