Role Description
The position of Research Associate has become available to work with Dr Umar Toseeb in the Department of Education at the University of York. The successful candidate will be part of the Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopmental Diversity Group. Further details about the research group can be found here (https://www.york.ac.uk/education/our-staff/academic/umar-toseeb/#research-content).
The Research Associate will work on a secondary data analysis project funded by the Youth Endowment Fund. The aim of the project is to identify what works to reduce violent offending through the secondary analysis of existing data from the Ministry of Justice, Department for Education, and the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children.
This is a fixed-term, full-time position for 15 months, available from August 2024.
Given the project is based solely on the secondary analysis of existing data, we seek a candidate with excellent quantitative analysis skills. Applications will be shortlisted primarily on the following criteria:
In return, we offer a collaborative and supportive research environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career researcher who wants to expand their research and analysis skills and publish peer reviewed papers.
Enquiries about this position should be directed to Dr Umar Toseeb (umar.toseeb@york.ac.uk).
