The Opportunity:
The post holder will provide critical and specialist technical support for the GREAT Cell project and the SEAWARM project currently within the School of GeoSciences. The SEAWARM project is in the process of creating a spin off company with longer term employment possibilities.
The GREAT cell is world leading experimental technology, designed and built within Edinburgh over the last 12 years, and contributes unique data sets relevant to nett zero and energy security.
SEAWARM incorporates patent pending technology to provide low cost low CO2 footprint heating and cooling using water source heat pump technology. SEAWARM provides the opportunity for longer term employment in a (to be) spin off company currently classed as a high growth opportunity.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
