About this role

Join our highly professional, committed and student focused academic community based at the Chichester campus. We are looking to fill a part time Lecturer role with either one 0.8fte appointment or two 0.4 fte appointments to join the Sports Therapy team in the Institute of Applied Sciences covering a period of maternity leave commencing in September. The post holder will plan, prepare and deliver quality teaching on a range of modules on the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy, and assess and provide feedback on student assignments. In addition, you will act as academic advisor and assist with the supervision of student projects and clinical supervision in the University of Chichester Sports Injury Clinic. You will also contribute to the wider subject area of Sports Therapy and where appropriate, support other departments within the University. We will consider a job share.

About you

The appointed postholder will have a good relevant undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level or equivalent. Ideally you will have Qualified Teacher Status or HE teaching qualification if not we will support you to undertake the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students.

You will demonstrate knowledge of current initiatives underpinning the subject area and extensive knowledge of Rehabilitation and Acute Care. You will also have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to engage, enthuse and inspire students.
