About Us
The BCNO Group brings together two well-renowned osteopathic educational institutions – the European School of Osteopathy and the British College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Our Research team, led by Dr William Gowers, focuses on providing high-quality support for undergraduate and institutional research activities within the osteopathy profession, as well as fostering multidisciplinary collaboration across wider healthcare. Our aim is to develop a culture among students that promotes evidence-informed patient-centred care and research outputs that are inclusive, robust, and credible.
The Role
As Research Associate, you will play an integral part in the development and implementation of the BCNO Group’s research strategy. Specifically you will be involved in student dissertation support by way of advice on study design, data collection, statistical testing and dissertation marking. You will manage our research lab, support research project applications and identify/communicate latest research to support osteopathic teaching and practice.
About You
Educated to MSc or PhD level ideally in health or exercise discipline, you will have clinical experience and the ability to deliver simple physiological assessments with a strong knowledge of health and/or exercise sciences. You will have a demonstrable track record in the planning and delivery of research methods/statistics content; coupled with experience of systematic reviews and/or meta-analysis.
You will be a personable, effective team-player with a real desire to support our students in advancing osteopathic research.
