This is an exciting time to be joining the UEA Security team with the extensive growth and development in the Directorate currently.
This role will see you operating in the Quadram Institute (QI) building, providing first class security functions.
With a strong customer focus, and working as part of a team, you will look after the safety and security of the building and provide and maintain a safe, secure and sustainable environment for staff and visitors and their property, 24 hours a day throughout the year. You will also act as first responder for incidents and as a point of contact for information.
Educated to GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths and English, with an SIA Static Guarding or Door Supervision Licence, you will have substantial recent experience of working in a similar security environment. You will need excellent communication and customer care skills and be able to promote the core values of the Estates and Facilities Directorate.
The ability to remain calm and professional in all circumstances and to be sensitive to the needs and views of other is essential.
You will be expected to work a four on, four off 12-hour rotational shift pattern that includes days and nights.
This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List.
