Job Summary
Imperial College London's National Heart and Lung Institute seeks a Research Software Engineer to join the Cardiac Electro-Mechanics Research Group (www.cemrg.com). This role involves developing algorithms, methods and a user interface (GUI) for image analysis, creating human heart models, and analysis of diagnostic data analysis (www.cemrgapp.com). The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with a team of developers, remote and local cardiologists and algorithm developers. Our software is used in the EU, US and Australia providing an exciting opportunity to work with global teams and rapidly translate software into clinical research and impact.

This project is about developing open-source software that will be used internationally by clinicians and engineers for impactful healthcare research. The post is full time and fixed term up to 31 December 2026, and is based in the ICTEM Building at Hammersmith Campus, west London.
Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range £40,694 - £43,888 per annum.
