Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing professional specialising in planning, organising, and executing events. The Marketing Manager is a crucial role within the Brand & Marketing Department, jointly responsible for the development of the events channel plan for student recruitment activity and the delivery of high-converting activity within the prospective student journey. The events delivered support departmental objectives to increase the volume of applications from high-achieving students across King’s portfolio of courses, and convince offer holders to accept their offer and enrol.
Working within the Marketing Communications Team, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the wider King’s community and beyond to lead on the delivery of impactful and engaging events for our key audiences, from initiation to completion and post-event evaluation. Our event portfolio includes open days, open evenings, offer holder events, campus tours, information sessions, third-party events and conferences, delivered via various formats including in person, online and hybrid experiences.
You will also be responsible for developing an expert understanding of the relevant operational and channel-specific nuances, and key messages that will inform student recruitment activities, and providing marketing expertise on the market, the competition, and the target audiences in this channel.
We are looking for a creative and friendly self-starter who is highly organised, innovative and able to work on their own initiative. Alongside event management and line management experience, you will have a keen eye for detail and strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates will need to be able to work outside of 9-5 office hours, including attendance at evening and weekend events (online and face-to-face).
This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.
