The successful applicant will lead and manage the work of the International Student Support, Advice and Compliance (ISSAC) team, made up of 11 staff, within Student Experience and Support. This established team supports our international students (of which there are c. 10,000) with visa and immigration enquiries and has a crucial role in coordinating work associated with complying to UKVI legislation.
The Head of ISSAC leads these areas of work and will be accomplished at developing staff and bringing out the best in teams continuously and during times of change. This role will maintain oversight for all immigration and UKVI compliance work that takes place in other functional areas and will require developed end to end knowledge of these processes.
The post holder will need to be adept at building successful working relationships and working collaboratively with senior colleagues across the University to fulfil this responsibility. Reporting directly to the Head of Student Experience and Support they will also contribute to the wider Student Experience and Support service through team leaders meetings, discussion on student support strategy, supporting development and change etc.
