Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the chemical biology lab of Professor Satpal Virdee). This project will involve the development of innovative and urgently needed tools for the study of poorly understood areas of the ubiquitin system. The ubiquitin system is a central regulator of cells and contains a wealth of undiscovered aspects and untapped therapeutic possibilities. We have shown that working at the interface between chemistry and biology is essential for driving this exciting field of research forward (Squair & Virdee Nat Chem Biol, 2022). The successful applicant will benefit from working in a multidisciplinary lab equipped for chemistry and biology to the highest standard.
