Autism and Neurodiversity Speaker

Alex Manners is an Autism and Neurodiversity speaker, Asperger's champion, presenter and author. Alex has talked about his Asperger's many times on radio and television, published a book called “That’s Not Right! My Life Living with Asperger’s”, and featured on series 10 and 11 of “The Undateables” on Channel 4.

Alex now presents talks on “My Life Living with Asperger's” to many different companies, law firms, schools and universities all over the UK.

Founder and Lead Psychologist, Employee Experience Project

Paula Brockwell is the Founder and Lead Psychologist of the Employee Experience Project. She is a culture strategist and coach that is on a mission to take the overwhelm, isolation and frustration out of culture change for Strategic HR leaders.

With over 20 years’ experience in supporting clients with fostering great behaviours in their business, and a grounding as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist, Paula has an in-depth, practical and evidence-based understanding of what drives healthy organisational systems. She used The EX Projects transparent and structured approach to culture change to help businesses build their own capability to own and mainstream their culture change.

Roshan Israni

Meet the Speakers Roshan Israni

Deputy Chief Executive, UCEA

Roshan leads on work relating to UCEA’s strategic priority aimed at supporting HE employers in enhancing the employee experience and engages with members and various stakeholders on a range of employment matters alongside being responsible for UCEA’s organisational effectiveness, business operations and governance. Roshan’s previous experience in the areas of employee relations, HR and organisation development was gained through work in the not for profit and private sectors, local government, the NHS and Probation Services. Roshan is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and possesses a Master's degree in Management Studies and a first degree in Chemistry.

Andy Fryer

Head of Communications & Membership, UCEA

Andy is responsible for membership satisfaction as well as developing and delivering an effective external relations strategy for UCEA and its members. Andy provides communications advice and support to members and plays a key role in managing UCEA's public profile and its membership development. Andy leads UCEA’s expanded communications team to provide communications for members and stakeholders and support colleagues internally to deliver.

She is a research-led, strategic advisor whose background stems from practical campaign executions. Her diverse background spans B2B and B2C integrated marketing and Digital PR, all of which are essential to today’s modern marketing. Emily has expertly delivered social media, marketing automation, account-based marketing, advertising, SEM, and email marketing campaigns which are all designed to achieve wider marketing objectives.
