The Role
We are looking for an experienced Research Administrator to provide research support for grant management, costings, and audits for academic staff.
Working with our People and Culture team and the department of finance. The Administrative Research Assistant will also work closely with Head of Knowledge Exchange and Research taking an active role in contributing to the smooth running of the Knowledge Exchange and Research Office.
The Administrative Research Assistant post is a busy and varied role requiring a person who can communicate efficiently and effectively, multi-task and work to deadlines.
The role involves a high level of interaction with teams of all levels and will combine a professional approach with a friendly and collegiate manner. The Administrative Research Assistant will work with university Thought Leadership Groups and contribute to developing an excellent university research culture and help to promote funding opportunities to employees working with research and industry funders to secure and manage grants and projects.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of the national and international knowledge exchange and research landscape and managing complex funding schemes and the attributed budgeting processes and procedures. The Administrative Research Assistant will be experienced in managing multiple projects at any given time, be proactive, efficient and respond positively to an ever changing and dynamic working environment.
