Job Summary
Research Programme
You will work within the NIHR Imperial BRC Brain Sciences Theme. The research work carried out within the Brain Sciences Theme aims to develop new approaches for underserved young people, focusing on emotional and behavioural dysregulation seen across psychiatric disorders in this group. In particular, the young population often presents physical health comorbidities and additional social care and educational needs, falling through the net of standard mental health care provision. The findings from this post will help to inform other research carried out within the Brain Sciences Theme focusing on treatment innovation and digital tools.
Innovation and Data Analytics – West London NHS Trust
At West London NHS Trust, you will apply data analytical skills to real world health populations, threading the Trust digital, business informatics, quality improvement (QI) and research and development offer. Population sociodemographic and clinical data have too long been inadequately utilised by healthcare services. This post is part of West London NHS Trust’s strategy to redress this, including the recent appointment of an executive level Chief Digital Information Officer – one of the first in mental health care – alongside a Board commitment to invest in, and support the smarter use of technology and data.
The post will support clinicians make better decisions based on real-time information and demonstrate their activities, contributing to the on-going development and maintenance of the Trust data warehouse and Tableau data visualisation development.

This is a full-time, fixed term position for 2 years based over 3 sites, White City, Hammersmith and St Bernard’s Hospital in Ealing.
*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant.
