St Catharine’s College in the heart of Cambridge is looking to recruit to a new General Ledger Accountant. This new post, reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, will be based within the experienced finance team, providing support and accurate financial information to the College.
The General Ledger accountant will support the timely and accurate completion of the monthly trial balance, to include supporting with month end routines, supporting the sales ledger function and supporting the purchase ledger function. Additionally, the post holder will work closely with the Senior Management Accountant, to provide support in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
The successful candidate will be a part-qualified accountant (e.g. CIMA Operational Level/ ACCA Applied Knowledge) or have a similar level of experience gained from working within the finance profession. They will have experience of working in a finance function, preparing monthly accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, as well as supporting the preparation of year end accounts.
