The Opportunity 

This post represents an exciting opportunity to expand our offering in Psychology and further strengthen our position as a School dedicated to research and teaching excellence. We are seeking an ambitious Senior Lecturer to act as Programme Lead for a new Msc in Forensic Psychology.

The successful candidate will be an HCPC Forensic Psychologist and have links to and experience of professional practice in this area as a Practitioner Psychologist.

We are seeking individuals who can lead the validation, development and delivery of our MSc in Forensic Psychology. The post-holder will also work closely with staff leading the existing suite of Psychology courses and will be able to demonstrate a track record of consistent contribution to the development of Forensic Psychology courses. They will have substantial experience of both teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervising research projects. The successful candidate will be an experienced academic; qualified (to PhD level) in forensic psychology and have experience of curriculum development and leadership of courses.

The successful candidate will have a clear plan for developing their scholarship or research programme in psychology, evidenced by successful independent research activity including publications in peer-reviewed journals and potential for securing external research funding. The individual would join internationally renowned researchers in our Justice, Security, and Institutional Change research group.

The post-holder will join a dedicated group of 40 academic staff; enthusiastic educators, researchers and scholars, in the growing School of Psychology. Internationally recognised for offering high-quality education and research, Keele’s Psychology research was ranked 44th in UoA4 in REF2021 with the majority deemed to be of international importance.
