The role
The School of Education is seeking to appoint an exceptional Communications Coordinator to support the general delivery of communication activity within the School. Working as part of the Executive Team the role holder will provide communications advice and support with written content generation, audience targeting, and channel mix.
The role is full time and is offered on a fixed term basis until July 2025.
We offer flexible working, with a mix of working in the office (minimum of two days per week) and working from home, dependant on operational requirements.
What will you be doing?
The role holder will provide support with the general delivery of communication activity within the School, of which key tasks could include working collaboratively with staff within the School and centrally to identify opportunities for promotion, reviewing existing sources of insight and gathering new data/insight, supporting the development and maintenance of the School’s webpages, reporting on website usage and identifying shortfalls/improving the visibility of the School, and promoting adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, regulation and legislation.
Typical tasks could also include developing communications plans including tools and channels, selecting appropriate visuals, and helping academic staff to communicate their findings in a way that will maximise their profile amongst relevant audiences.

Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate website development and advanced IT skills, and have experience of using/developing social media channels and working independently on delivering projects/campaigns.
