Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges provide education and training across West London. Our portfolio includes three further education colleges, the West London Institute of Technology, providing higher technical STEM qualifications and HRUC Apprenticeships & Skills providing a range of apprenticeships and support for businesses to develop their workforce.
Reporting to the IT Director, in this position you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the college's IT infrastructure, ensuring its alignment with HRUC's strategic goals and fostering an environment of innovation, excellence, and environmental responsibility.
Working closely with senior colleagues, the IT team and staff across the College, you would contribute to developing strategy, advising on infrastructure related matters and ensuring IT initiatives meet business needs. You would provide leadership to the infrastructure team and oversee day to day operations, ensuring adherence to cybersecurity standards and legal, regulatory and ethical requirements. You would also research and drive innovation in new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
You will have at least 5 years’ experience in an IT infrastructure role, preferably within an educational setting, including in depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and Group Policy. You will also have in depth hands-on knowledge of configuration, management and support of DNS and DHCP, automated application deployment using SSCM and InTune and Azure Services, including resource provisioning, management and optimisation. You will also need to possess at least 2 years’ experience of leading a team of IT Engineers.
