Department
Based in the beautiful modern premises of the award-winning Berrick Saul Building, the Humanities Research Centre (HRC) is the research wing of the University’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The HRC has a three-fold mission: to broker, support and oversee research projects with reach and impact; to foster productive and creative partnerships with academic and non-academic collaborators; to inspire, train and professionalise the arts and humanities postgraduate body.
Role
Responsibility for co-ordination and strategic oversight of the University’s Impact agenda at the Faculty level. Working to the Faculty Associate Dean for Research (Arts & Humanities) on the implementation of the impact agenda within the Faculty, you will provide detailed, strategic advice and practical support to individual researchers, clusters of researchers and departments in helping to identify, generate, and capture research impact, and to help departments maximise their own impact potential and delivery, and support developments across Faculty boundaries, as appropriate. Working closely with the University Impact Manager, you will co-ordinate and align efforts across the Faculties and ensure that work is undertaken synergistically. The role holder will work cooperatively with the other Faculty and University Impact Managers and related staff in RI&KE. It is also expected that the post holder will form specialist networks both within the institution and with other Impact professionals across the sector.
