Are you a political theorist with ambition to work in a research-intensive Russell Group University? Are you also passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience?
The University of Leeds is one of the top 75 universities in the world. We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.
The School of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) at the University of Leeds is looking to appoint a researcher with expertise in political theory. While the precise specialism within political theory is open – analytic, continental, critical, decolonial, feminist, non-Western, etc. – the School is looking for someone with a strong track record in research and teaching who will engage closely with colleagues in the Centre for Contemporary Political Theory, to complement and develop existing strengths.
The successful candidate will be expected to build a strong portfolio of teaching and research, help advance the School’s undergraduate and graduate curriculum in political theory, pursue funded political theory research projects, contribute to the growth and development of the Centre for Contemporary Political Theory, and support our vibrant community of PGR research students.
What we offer in return
