The Role:
The Quality Assurance Officer will be part of a small team that helps manage and implement the quality assurance processes at LCCA. Working with the validating body UCA, and colleagues within quality and wider LCCA, you will be responsible for managing the implementation of assessment related processes including assessment boards, extenuating circumstances, academic misconduct, and academic appeals. You will also have to support validation, periodic reviews, and annual monitoring, working with academic colleagues to ensure successful outcomes. You will use your organization and minute taking skills to lead on the servicing of the committee at LCCA, including arranging the meetings, collating papers, taking minutes, and following up on actions. You will also be required to support the Head of Quality Assurance in the implementation of processes such as complaints and managing external relationships. You will also support the team in supporting the student engagement processes. There will be opportunities to develop your supervisory and management skills in this role.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in higher education in either a quality assurance or Registry role, with experience of implementing processes such as extenuating circumstances or appeals. You will also have excellent organizational skills and ideally have minute taking/committee servicing experience. The successful candidate will also thrive working in a small but busy team in a growing organization and is happy to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team and organization.
The Quality Assurance Officer will be working in a small team that is made up of the Head of Quality Assurance, Quality Assurance Manager and 2 other Quality Assurance Officers. You will also be working closely with the Administration and Student Support Teams, along with Academic Colleagues from across LCCA. You will also be liaising with colleagues from the validating body UCA.
