About the role
This opportunity is within the Changing World of Work Group, which focuses on examining the implications of the changing work context on managing people and organisations. The Group provides thought leadership in areas such as emerging technologies and work, generational diversity; gender, leadership and inclusion, global mobility, HR and technology, organisation design, flexible; sustainable HRM; and agile working and employee engagement, and brings together expertise in Human Resource Management (HRM), Employment Relations, Organisational Behaviour (OB) and Diversity.
This role would suit a doctoral graduate with the potential to develop into an outstanding academic or someone in the first few years of their academic career that seeks to progress their research and scholarship, in an applied and commercially focused school, while teaching a variety of audiences. Each member of faculty is allowed 40 per cent of their time to focus on research and scholarship, practitioner/policy engagement and/or business development. This post will be offered initially on the Research & Teaching career pathway as the successful candidate may be expected to support funded research projects within the Group.
About you
You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant area, and you will be able to demonstrate experience of, or potential for, teaching, training or executive development in HRM. You will preferably be able to show recognition of your expertise through outputs such as publications, conference presentations, professional involvement, industry demands, or similar. With excellent communication skills, you will be able to collaborate effectively with students, executive learners, academics, practitioners and policy makers.
