Trinity Business School is seeking to recruit academics to deliver the key strategic objectives associated with its mission of “Transforming Business for Good”. Specifically, we are seeking to hire an Associate Professor in Social Innovation to deliver and develop the areas of social innovation and related fields – with a focus on organization, sustainability and impact. We are seeking a candidate who can contribute to scholarship and teaching in the areas of cross-sectoral collaboration, governance and public and/or non-profit management and who has an established research publication trajectory commensurate with an international associate professor. Finally, the successful candidate will also have a sufficiently broad knowledge of business studies generally to be able contribute to other – mostly introductory or intermediate - business courses beyond the area of Social Innovation.
Research: The successful candidate will have a significant portfolio of research publications both in terms of quality and impact. High quality research outputs are demonstrated through publication in journals that are highly ranked by the Chartered Association of Business Schools (ABS) or featured in the Financial Times' top 50 list. Applicants with publications in the FTs’ list of preferred management research journals being particularly welcome. In addition, we are looking for a candidate with a track record of securing significant research funding and experience in developing and leading research programmes and/or centres.
In addition to high quality outputs, we also expect that this research has a wider impact beyond an academic audience. TBS will be seeking evidence of engagement and impact in the business, social enterprise, NGO and/or public policy communities.
Teaching: The successful candidate will be capable of delivering cutting-edge education. Trinity Business School is hoping to extend its online offerings and generalize blended programs. The candidate will therefore not only possess a profound understanding of the latest industry practices and academic theories, but he/she will have demonstrated an ability to communicate his/her knowledge and expertise in an online, interactive environment. As an Associate Professor, the candidate will be expected to inspire, challenge, and motivate students, fostering an atmosphere of innovation and critical thinking that reflects our commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.
Leadership: The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the direction of our social innovation and sustainable business programs and research, ensuring they remain at the forefront of business knowledge and provide our students with an educational experience that encompasses economic, social and environmental issues and solutions. This role demands a proactive approach to curriculum design, a keen understanding of market and societal trends, and the ability to anticipate and incorporate future advancements in the role of business & management in delivering ‘Business for Good’.
