The Head of Department (HoD) in Hair and Beauty and Media Make up is accountable for the curriculum area. Through the effective deployment of resources and College systems and procedures, the post holder will ensure that each student has access to and receives an outstanding experience including high quality teaching, learning and assessment that will ensure our students develop employability skills to gain a competitive advantage as they progress towards and along their chosen careers.
Whilst working within the core values and through continuous improvement, the post holder will develop the curriculum area to meet or exceed the College’s KPIs.
The person appointed will report to the Principal Printworks Campus .
What You Will Do
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Head of Department to lead curriculum staff to contribute effectively to the strategic aims of the Printworks Campus and ensure that local, regional and national priorities are met.
The Head role also ensures that the department efficiently runs and delivers financial contribution targets as detailed within the annual business plan.
Additionally, we are looking for a candidate with a track record of engaging with employers and involving them in curriculum development including guest speakers and involvement in assessments.
