The Opportunity:
The School of Divinity seeks to appoint a Lecturer in New Testament/Christian Origins. The lectureship will contribute to teaching and research in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in New Testament and Christian Origins. We would particularly welcome applicants with a primary demonstrable expertise in Pauline Studies and a secondary focus on an area such as Second Temple/Early Judaism. While applicants should possess expertise in classic approaches to Pauline studies (including textual, critical, and theological analysis), we are particularly interested in newer methodologies that complement our existing strengths; these might include race, gender, sexuality, postcolonial approaches etc. Applicants must possess a high skill level in Biblical languages and must be willing to teach language courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
