What You’ll Do?
In this pivotal role, you'll lead the charge in ensuring that students are at the heart of our curriculum and teaching practices. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of areas, including:
Curriculum Leadership: Spearhead the development of innovative strategies to enhance the student learning experience. Lead curriculum development and assessment, ensuring leading-edge provision for students that meets the evolving needs of the creative industries.
Teaching Excellence: In partnership with school leadership teams, cultivate an environment of teaching excellence. Offer direction and assistance to educators and enhance the recruitment of tutors. Support the professional growth of teaching staff to maintain excellent teaching and learning standards
Student and Graduate Outcomes: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop plans aimed at improving student and graduate outcomes. Drive initiatives to promote student success, continuation, completion, and graduate employment, while ensuring parity of learning and teaching across all campus locations.
Subject Representation: Act as a champion for your subject area both within BIMM University and in relevant national contexts. Represent the subject in governance and quality platforms, advocating for its importance and contributing to strategic discussions.
Compliance and Regulation: Collaborate with the Director of Academic Services to ensure compliance across your subject area for quality and standards. Stay abreast of relevant compliance and regulatory issues, ensuring adherence to university policies and procedures.
What You’ll Bring?
We're seeking a candidate with a postgraduate degree or equivalent qualifications/industry experience in the subject area of creative music practice. A teaching qualification relevant to higher education or Fellowship of Advance HE is essential, along with evidence of subject expertise and industry engagement. Experience working in a leadership and management role in higher education, along with a strong understanding of curriculum development and quality standards, is also required.
